Phyllis Entzi, 82, of New Port Richey went peacefully to join her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2022.
Phyllis was born in 1939 to Lucy Dent Entzi and John O. Entzi in Youngstown, Ohio, graduated from Boardman High School and married Paul J. Puhalla. She moved to Pinellas County, Florida, where she has lived for the past 44 years. She worked as a cadastral mapper, eventually becoming a computer-aided draftsman (CAD) at the Pinellas County Real Estate Appraiser’s Office for over 24 years. She served as president of the Florida Association of Cadastral Mappers. She was a board member of the Water’s Edge Condo Association and an active member of the local women’s Red Hat Club.
Phyllis was a born-again Christian for over 44 years. She had an amazing conversion experience and deeply loved God and tried to share her good news with anyone who would listen. She has mentored many young people on their life journey. She accepted everyone as they were and rejected no one – as those she helped can testify. She believed in the best in people and what they could achieve with the right help and opportunity – of which she was a living example. She would literally give her last $5 in her purse to someone in need, declaring that God would provide for her in some other way. She loved to cook, especially at Christmas, and loved sharing with her grandchildren how to make the family Kolachi recipe. She loved walks on the beach, sitting under a tree in Mill Creek Park, watching a really funny movie so she could laugh out loud, eating Handel’s Snappy Turtle, wearing flowers in her hair and most of all being with her family, especially his children, his grandchildren. and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is predeceased by her mother, Lucy Dent Entzi, her father, John O. Entzi, her stepmother, Marilyn Entzi, her grandson, Sam DelSignore, and her niece, Martha Mangan.
