POLLOCK JOAN (née PAULITS) Died after a very short illness. Joan was 75 years old. She is survived by her wonderful and loving husband ROBERT (Bob) with whom she just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in May this year. Joan was born and raised in northeast Phila and attended St. Timothy’s Elementary School and St. Hubert High School for Girls, graduating in 1964. Shortly after graduation, she met and married Bob in 1970. They also made their home in northeast Phila. In 1973 they were blessed with a son, Robert (Robby) who was the light of their lives. Bob and Robby have thoroughly enjoyed their life together, from racing cars to camping, shooting and fishing. Everything a young man would want to do, they did together. In 1978, Bob went into business in Montgomery County, opening Town & Country Auto Parts, Inc., with his partner John R. Lower Sr. When John Sr. decided to retire, his part of the business was taken over by his son. , John R. Lower, Jr. The business continued successfully until 2015 when it was bought out. Over the years in business, Joan has grown into the senior accountant, payroll clerk, etc. and handled many aspects of the company’s paperwork. She really liked being involved. One of the biggest losses of their life together was the loss of Robby in 2002. He developed a very aggressive form of cancer and died from it, but not before meeting and marrying the love of his life, Karen Moroski. She was a one-of-a-kind girl whom we had the privilege of calling our “daughter-in-law”. When Robby fell ill, she took time off from her job to care for him. Joan is also survived by her brother Ken Paulits (Geri) and Karen’s family, Karen (Wally) and their 2 children, Aidan and Justin. Joan leaves behind many good friends and family members, especially her cousin, Jimmy Paulits, whom she became very close to when she and Bob bought a condo in Florida. The condo in Florida was one of the highlights of her life with Bob. There was nothing better than sitting on the balcony and watching the boats and dolphins go by and enjoying the warmth of the sun. Joan leaves behind her good friend of over 50 years, Mary Ware and her family. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Loretta (Gabriel) Paulits and numerous aunts, (especially Aunt Marie Reid), uncles and grandparents. Relatives and friends may call between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at HUFF AND LAKJER FUNERAL HOME, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA, 19446.
